Terms of Service
Last updated: May 24, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of Bookwright (the “Service”), an AI-assisted book-writing platform. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live).
3. Your content
You own the material you provide and the books you create. You grant Bookwright a limited license to store and process your content solely to operate the Service for you (including sending it to our AI providers to generate and edit your book). We do not claim ownership of your work and do not sell your content.
4. AI-generated output
The Service uses AI to help draft and edit. Output may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing, fact-checking, and ensuring you have the rights to publish anything you produce. Bookwright is a tool, not a publisher, and does not guarantee any particular result.
5. Payment & access
Paid plans are billed through our payment processor, Stripe. Purchase of a book grants access for the period stated at checkout (currently a six-month editing window per book). Subscriptions renew until cancelled.
7-day guarantee. If you go through excavation, draft your first chapter, and it doesn't sound like you, email support@bookwright.ai within 7 days of your purchase for a full refund. For pay-in-3 plans, a refund cancels any remaining scheduled payments. After the 7-day window — and except where required by law — payments are non-refundable once access has been delivered.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to create unlawful, infringing, or harmful content, to violate others' rights, or to attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the platform.
7. Disclaimers & liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bookwright is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the prior twelve months.
8. Changes & contact
We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here. Questions? Contact us at support@bookwright.ai.
